ethrealm much shorter than its predecessor but makes up for it with the much grander sound it delivers. songs like defenestration song, burial society and guggenheim wax museum have these larger-than-life sounding guitars that build over the course of the tracks, building this impenetrable wall of noise which pummels the listener. while it cannot reach the levels that deathconsciousness achieved, this album is still incredibly fucking good. Favorite track: Burial Society.

seb_tc More Have a Nice Life, more existential dread. 8/10 very nice. Favorite track: Defenestration Song.

Melonic Death Metal Hauntingly beautiful and tortured, while being extremely cathartic. I love how brave and absolutely unique this record really is. Favorite track: Burial Society.

1.
What I found in Harrow's Field, (Oh oh oh) Were furrows, dark, that would not yield, (Oh oh oh) The Vigilant Digger will dig my grave Of an earth made of things I cannot say And build a cenotaph that stands Where we once kneeled Saying, "Oh" Saying, "Oh" "I wish I was alive, I wish I was alive" Saying, "Oh" Saying, "Oh" "I wish I was alive, I wish I was alive" But no one really is
2.
I never thought I’d lead this restless life I thought I’d wither down, a sacrifice There’s nothing I can do to make it stop It’s in my nature. It gives me chills I never thought life could last this long I thought I’d be found out so long ago There’s nothing I can do to make it stop It’s in my nature. It gives me chills. (Hey!) Get off my back! (Hey!) Is this what it’s like? Is this what it’s going to be like?
3.
I close my eyes a better man Or imagine that I can imagine such a thing And it goes on and on and on and on like that Project myself into the air, and float in a weightless night It’s better than sitting heavy backed, and sending waves of anxious hate into the street, trying to shut down the stop lights It isn't real, but it feels real It isn't real, but it feels real As I crane my neck to an emptiness (better than knowing nothing at all) I feel in my chest (I know I know myself) Cut my wrists, slit my throat, take this body and string it up Cause I’ll never know “I’m weak again, stay inside, hate everything.” Well hey, that’s our lot. And I’m already inside out Cut my wrists, slit my throat, take this body and string it up And I’ll never know what you said, because I’ll be fucking dead by then
4.
I am the only one I’m sorry, Lord
5.
Cropsey 07:10
A sign That I’ve been praying for A solemn augur, pure and true To tell me what to do A true God that I can settle for And spin my body in a long, slow arc Like how my problems are And I’ve been waiting on everyone And I’ve been waiting on Cause I’ve been waiting on anyone To show up and throw me out of here Yeah, I’ve been waiting on anyone (Because I don’t belong!) And I’m not even sure I even know those words Cause I’ve been waiting on anyone And I’ve been waiting on Cause I’ve been waiting on
6.
Unholy Life 02:50
It's in the air, you know you see it They're spinning there, that's how they fucking get around But I can hold my breath until they take it I have an unholy life
7.
No matter how hard I try, I’ll never reach the speed of life No matter how much I write, you’ll never read a single line Oh well Who am I to point it out? You are no one
